It is possible to create a client that operates independently. We (ok, just about everyone) call this a "bot". Bots usually use the SimpleLilyClientProtocol.

Bots currently have their own player object, and as far as the server is concerned, they're just users.

In addition to the raw SLCP clients, some use TigerLily's Bot.pm interface, or roll their own TigerLily extension to take advantage of the event handling.

Some of the bots on RPI lily include: MechaJosh?, CJ, Ima Bot, Navi, http, DasBot?, Lumberjack ClaRiSSa?.
