How to use this manual

There are some differences between this manual and other manuals you might have used. Because there are multiple ways to access lily, and each site may have different configurations of lily, this manual will attempt to discuss common features. Where this is not possible, it will link to other documents that discuss specific features.

Anything you have to type in will look like this:

/CREATE discussion-name

Commands should be entered verbatim, but in general it does not matter if you use upper or lowercase letters. They are capitalized here for emphasis.

Values represent whatever input is appropriate for the command. For instance, discussion-name should be replaced with the name of the discussion you are trying to create. Each example should explain what reasonable values for italicized words are.

Anything that lily displays will look like this:

(Private message sent to Prisoner.)

Examples and commands will always be on lines by themselves.

  • Warnings and important notes will be blocked off like this.
