I was going to (eventually) implement a bot side
IRC bridge. With something like:
http://ahynes1.homeip.net:8000/moo/mooirc.htm
this could go into the core instead.
(If this is already working, this would basically be an integration task, rather than a development task)

Let me note that I'm somewhat uneasy about this. IRC has been known to draw denial-of-service attacks, and I've been witness to some pretty impressive ones at RPI (back when Nathan Schimke was still running an IRC server in the CS dept). That isn't the kind of attention that I'd want the RPI lily server to get, not when I'm trying for multi-year uptimes! I do like the idea of a lily server being able to do it, so I would put the code into the standard lilycoreDB if someone gets it working. But I'll be mighty nervous about enabling that bridging support on RPI's server.
It was also interesting to see that one of the issues reported on that ahynes1.homeip.net page was simply keeping track of all the changes they were making while working on this support across several different moo cores. I can relate to that!
